Whether you're headed off on a business trip, headed out for a much needed vacation or just want to give your 'feathered kids' a chance to meet some new friends, we'd love to provide bird-experienced care and the 'home away from home' that your bird needs while you are away!

We offer high quality professional boarding in a clean, friendly, and comfortable environment for your birds.

We have different areas to meet different needs of individual birds.

Smaller birds are generally housed away from larger birds, and sensitive birds away from their noisier friends.

Consider us a home away from home for your feathered family members!

A Home Away From Home
The Avian Medical Center takes boarding seriously and offers only the best to our patients.  We are excited to meet your feathered family members!  Both you and your bird are very important to us.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your bird more comfortable during their stay.

AMC boards hundreds of birds a year.  We offer high quality professional care seven days a week in a warm, comfortable and clean environment.  We encourage you to contact us as far in advance as possible to reserve your space.  We do fill up, especially during the holidays and throughout the summer.  We do our best to accommodate last minute boarders though, so don't hesitate to give us a call, especially in the event of an emergency.

AMC provides a clean and safe environment for your bird.  We offer window or wall placement, lots of natural light, and radio entertainment.  We also have more quiet areas for sensitive birds.  Each bird receives daily personal interaction from our qualified and experienced bird savvy staff.  We love birds and it shows!

What People Are Saying

"Snuggy can't wait to get back to AMC.  He knows exactly what's going on when I get his travel cage together.  He absolutely loves coming to visit everyone here!" ~ Ms. Boyd

"Please tell everyone that we are very appreciative that we have such a great place to board Connie. We always have great peace of mind when she is there. We know that she is in a great environment and well cared for. She is always glad to get home, but she likes it at bird camp, too.  A BIG thanks to everyone."  ~Jake

"Rascal LOVES his friend Stuart (another Senegal)." ~ Amelia
Whenever their visits coincide (Rascal & Stuart), we make sure they are right next to each other.  They spend most of their time hanging out and chatting with each other.

Requirements

To ensure health and safety, annual physical examinations are required of every boarding patient.

In order to provide the best possible care for our patients and to ensure the health and safety of all boarders, including your bird, the Avian Medical Center requires an initial health exam and fecal analysis performed by Dr. Lintner, and one yearly thereafter.

For your convenience, we are happy to provide this service during their visit with us.  We are also happy to set up an appointment in advance of your bird's stay if you would like to be present during the examination.

Drop off and pick up times are available Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday evening hours are extended to 8pm and on Saturdays we are available from 9am to Noon. The clinic is closed from 12 to 1 daily.
